The Florida marketplace continues to change rapidly, but the drive for reps to be
demand creators is the same as in years past. EIR views demand creation today in two
categories: (1) Socket creation at the OEM's who do design and (2) Facilitating
transactions at the subcontractors both direct and through distribution.
Our FAE support, computer based communication, and information systems drive the
demand creation sector. Our inside staff and tracing systems facilitate and support the
actual PO transactions. The field sales group brings both roles in demand creation
together with their understanding of and relationships with the design accounts and the
product directions within those accounts. To maximize support to the customer and
value to the manufacturer, the entire sales staff works closely with distribution in the
areas of both visability and execution.
